A new day
While we may not know what tomorrow brings – or like whatever it may be . As we still don’t know about the budget, Social security, Medicare, Medicaid, Vets benefits etc – we can know that tomorrow the sun will rise – and go back again. The stars will still be in the sky – for God is still on His throne. Man is not in charge of our future – God is. So hang on to Him – seek Him for wisdom and smile.
Today is the day after Valentine’s. For many people this is can be a downer. When the candy is all eaten, and only the calories left. But when your are Jesus’ valentine there is never any let down. For His loves us every minute of every day unconditonally! Now that is good news. We will never wake up to a day without His love, grace and mercy. We will neve wake up to a day where there is no forgiveness for our sins. Now that is good news. Let’s enjoy it today.
The world of texting!
Texting seems to be here to stay. I was praying that it was a fast fading fad – but I think I was wrong. I have fought the good fight and I think I have lost! With the strengthening and ever increasing pastime of texting will be the death of the art of conversation. No longer will two people look each other in the face, or via the telephone, while utilizing their hearing function as another person speaks intelligible words with its readable voice intonations without one or two of the parties fingers flying over the cellphone keys. I can soon visualize people speaking text shorthand. I’ve heard horror stories of people being fired via a text. There’s a TV commercial where a woman breaks up with her boyfriend via a text message, all while he innocently sits across from her. It is cute – but only because it could be so true.
I can picture my grandchildren will get married via texting – the minister doesn’t even need to be there. They won’t even have to have a reception -we can all be home in our PJ’s eating a sandwich while we take part in the celebration. Just think of how many more people you can invite and how cheap it can be – and we can all just send our money via the phone.
A sad death and burial I might say for the “conversation”. But, I’m not yet ready to throw the first shovel of dirt on the grave. We will have to start new courses beginning in kindergarten, about the old fashioned way of communication – out of mouth to ear, face to face. They might surely think it strange. But then we can’t let communication via the face to face conversation pass without being a part of our history books. And who knows, someday one of these dears just might decide to try it and find out they like it. Meanwhile - LOL 2 u:)
NYC Mosque
May God’s people arise and pray that the mosque is not built upon the ground near the Twin Towers disastor. Christians are not against other religions having freedom – for that is the foundation of our nation – the right to worship God as one chooses. But but but, the right to worship as one chooses and the right to build the mosque on that ground – this is not the issue. The issue is it is not right to do so. If the muslims who want to build there really believe that had they known the uproar and the feelings it would arise they never would have done it. Well, then don’t do it! This mosque would be an in your face, we who were brought down these towers – muslims – radical or not – they were muslims and we have a mosque to prove our victory! Yes, not all muslims are radicals or terrorists – but the fact remains – they were muslims who brought down the towers.
Can you imagine after the bombing of Pear Harbor – that we’d allow a Japanese temple to be built on the site of the bombing! I think not – what is wrong with America – wake up!
All is well!
No matter what we see; or what we hear; or what we think – all is well. For God is on His throne and He is not only the Creator of this universe, and the Creator of all that live – He is in control of it all. And He loves us and has a good plan for you and me!
